  • After filling all the information sought in the application form in the prescribed column, submit the copy of the documents required for Aadhaar enrollment, such as identity proof and residence proof, etc., along with the application form to the Aadhaar Enrollment Center Officer.

The process of Aadhaar card application in the states and union territories given in the above list is also the same as other Indian states. The only difference is that in other states, this work is done by the Aadhaar Enrollment Center Officer. In contrast, in the states mentioned above, it is done by the Registrar General of India.

Process to get e-Aadhaar

After you complete the process of the Aadhaar card application through the Aadhaar Enrollment Center, i.e., submission of the Aadhaar application form along with required documents and biometric data, within 90 days after that, your Aadhaar card will be sent to your registered address by UIDAI. But it is sent by India post. Sometimes this period can be more than 90 days or even 3 months.

Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI to Apply for Aadhar Smart Card.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Get Aadhar’ section of the “My Aadhar” section from the navigation menu.

Step 3: Click on the link ‘Download Aadhar’ from the ‘Get Aadhar’ section.

Step 4: Enter your Enrollment Number or Aadhar Number in the given column.

Step 5: If you have selected the option of Enrollment Number, then enter the following information in the given column.

  • Enter the enrollment serial number.
  • Name of the applicant as recorded in the Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt.
  • The PIN code number of the applicant’s address is recorded in the Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt.
  • The date and time entered in the Aadhar receipt slip.
  • The mobile number is linked to Aadhaar Enrollment.

Step 6: If you have selected the option of AADHAAR CARD NUMBER, then enter the following information in the prescribed columns given.

  • Enter Aadhaar Serial Number.
  • Name of the applicant as recorded in the Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt.
  • The PIN code number of the applicant’s address is recorded in the Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt.
  • The mobile number is linked to Aadhaar Enrollment.

Step 7: After entering the above information, submit the form for further processing.

Step 8: A one-time password will be received on your registered mobile number. Fill and submit the one-time password at the given space for verification.

Step 9: Once the OTP is verified, the colored Aadhar card will be displayed on your system’s screen. You can print this. It is valid, just like an Aadhar card.

Q. 1. Can an Indian citizen Apply for Aadhar Smart Card while staying outside India?

Ans: The Unique Identification Authority of India has not allowed non-residents to Apply for Aadhar Smart Card. If you are an Indian citizen, it is mandatory to have resided in India for 182 days in the last 1 year to apply for an Aadhar card.
