The Government of India wants to reach the benefits of this scheme to these people through the Ayushman Golden Card. The Govt has started the Ayushman Bharat scheme, keeping in mind the inability of poor people not to get treatment when financially weak.

The Government of India had issued this scheme so that the poor people could get their treatment done without any financial trouble. At present, more than 10 crore low-income families of the country are getting health insurance under this scheme, and till now, more than 4 crore people have taken advantage of this scheme using Ayushman Golden Card. The ambitious Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Govt was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Chhattisgarh on the birth anniversary of Bhimrao Ambedkar in 2018 under the National Health Protection Mission. Under PM Jan Arogya Yojana 2021, health insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided annually to the economically weaker families of the country by the Ministry of Health, Government of India.

To take advantage of this scheme, Ayushman Golden Card is being issued, using which sick people can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in empanelled government and private hospitals. Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is one of the largest health insurance schemes globally, which provides the benefit of health insurance schemes to about one-third of the population of India.

Initially, 1350 treatment packages like surgery, medical day care treatment, diagnostics etc., were included under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana. But gradually, 19 Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Yoga, Unani treatment packages have also been included in this scheme. Every poor citizen of the country can treat more than 1350 diseases under this scheme through Ayushman Golden Card in various government and private hospitals listed not only allopathic but also Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Yoga and Unani treatment.

Beneficiaries are not required to pay any charges in any of the hospitals empanelled for any disease covered under the scheme. And no fee will be charged in hospitals to take advantage of this scheme. You need to have an Ayushman Golden Card; without a card, you will not take advantage of this scheme in getting any treatment. How to check the eligibility of the Ayushman Golden Card?

A list is prepared by the Government of India of the beneficiaries receiving the benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana, keeping their economic base. The beneficiary citizen of karnataka who is included in the Ayushman Bharat Golden Card list according to eligibility, the same person, is made an Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card. If you are citizen of Karnataka and want to see whether your name is in the beneficiary list of Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana or not, then follow the steps given below –

  • First of all, go to the  Official Website of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The homepage of the official website will open in front of you.
  • In the Main Navigation Menu on the home page, the option of “AM I Eligible” will appear on the right side.
  • A new page will open as soon as you click on the option of “AM I Eligible”.
  • On the new page, go to the Login section and fill in your mobile number in the given column. After that, fill in the captcha code given below and click on the Generate OTP button.
  • A 6 digit OTP (One Time Password) number will be received on the mobile number entered by you. Fill the OTP in the given column and check the Eligible Criteria & Data Policy box given below and click on the submit button.
  • A new page will open as soon as you click on the submit button. Choose your state from the drop-down box.
  • You will see two options in Select Category (i) Search by Name (ii) Search By HHD Number.
  • Select any one of the above two options. If you select the option of Search By Name, then a new page will open.
  • On the new page, 11 fields will be found: Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Spouse Name, Age, Gender, District, Village, Area- Rural/Urban, Ward Number & Pin Code.
  • Fill them in the correct columns and click on the Search button. The report related to your eligibility will be displayed on your screen.
  • If you choose Search By HHD Number, you have to fill HHD Number and click on Search. The report related to your eligibility will be displayed on your screen.
  • If you are not able to check eligibility this way, then as another way, you can get your family’s eligibility checked through your nearest Public Service Center (CSC).  
  • You will have to go to the nearest public service centre and submit all the original documents to the public service centre officer.  
  • After checking your eligibility by logging in through a Public Service Officer, it will tell you whether your family is eligible for Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card or not.

How to download Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card 2021?

Suppose a person of Karnataka who has his name in the eligibility list under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He has applied under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and  wants to download his Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card. In that case, both offline and online methods can be used for this.

Through an offline method, you can get the printout of Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card from the Public Service Center (CSC) and the office of the District Magistrate. The necessary condition for Ayushman Bharat Golden Card is that you can download Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card from the same District Magistrate Office or Public Service Center from where you have applied. Your Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card will be downloaded and printed out by the same office where you have applied.

If you want to download your Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card online, then follow the steps given below.

  • First of all, go to the official website of Jan Arogya Yojana Ayushman Bharat. The home page of Ayushman Bharat’s website will open in front of you.
  • On the home page, you will see the login option. Would you mind clicking on this option?
  • On clicking, the login form will open on the screen where you enter your User ID & Password and click on the SIGN IN button.
  • After this, a new page will open in front of you, in which you fill your Aadhaar number in the given column and verify with your thumb impression on the next page.
  • After verifying the fingerprint, a new page will open where you will see “Approved Beneficiary” in various options.  
  • Click on the option of “Approved Beneficiary”, whatever Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card has been approved in front of you. His list will be displayed.
  • Check your name in the given list and click on Confirm Print option next to the name.
  • Once you click on the Confirm Print option, you will be redirected to Jan Seva Kendra Wallet.
  • After this, enter your wallet PIN by entering your password in the CSC wallet. After this, you will come back to the home page.
  • On the new page, the option of download will be found next to the candidate’s name. Click on the download link. Your Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card will be downloaded in PDF format.
  • After this, you can also take a printout of your Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card.

How to make Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card?

If you are willing to make Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card for yourself and your family under Ayushman Bharat Yojana, two types of facilities have been provided to you to make Ayushman Bharat Golden Card. You can get a Golden Card through Public Service Center or empanelled hospitals only. Follow the steps given below for the Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card.

By Public Service Center 

  • First of all, the applicant has to go to his nearest Public Service Center (CSC).  
  • The Jan Seva Kendra officer will verify your name in the list of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
  • If your name is in the beneficiary list of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, then the process of your Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card will be completed.
  • After this, give all the documents required for Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Scheme like Aadhar Card, Ration Patrika, Registered Mobile Number, etc.
  • The public service officer will complete the registration process and provide you with a registration ID.
  • After this, your Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card will be given to you by the Jan Seva Kendra officer within 10 to 15 days. In preparing the Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card, the public service centre officer will have to pay an amount of ₹ 30 as a fee.

By Registered and Private Hospitals

  • First of all, the applicant has to go to the private or government hospitals registered in his nearest Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana with required documents like Aadhar Card, Ration Patrika, Registered Mobile Number etc.
  • Verification of name in PM Jan Arogya Yojana Beneficiary List will be done based on the document produced by the registered hospital.
  • If your name is in the beneficiary list of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, then after completing your application process, you will be provided Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card by the registered hospital.

Government’s big announcement– Beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat scheme will get PVC cards for free

The Government of India has abolished the fee amount of ₹ 30 to be charged at Common Service Centers for obtaining eligibility cards under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), with effect from 19 February 2021.

Under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, the applicant had to pay a fee of ₹ 30 for issuing the card at the service centre. However, the remaining fee excluding the tax of ₹ 15 for a duplicate card or card reprint was charged by the CSC to the beneficiaries. 

MoU between National Health Authority and Common Service Centers

The National Health Authority has recently agreed to provide a free Ayushman Bharat Entertainment Card to the people from Common Service Centers under Information Technology. Due to this agreement, PVC Ayushman cards will now be issued to the beneficiaries, and their delivery will also be made easy.

Under this agreement, the National Health Authority will pay a certain amount of ₹ 20 to the Common Service Center for issuing Ayushman cards only for the first time.

Easy to maintain with PM-JAY PVC Card

Ram Sevak Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, National Health Authority, told reporters that Ayushman cards were issued free of cost from any PM-JAY hospital, which would continue to be issued free of cost in future; besides, this card would also be printed on PVC. Having a PVC card printed will ease the maintenance of the cause as earlier the paper printed on the paper often used to get torn. It will be easy for the beneficiary to carry the PVC card. Any beneficiary can easily keep the PVC card in his purse like an ATM card.

Not required for benefits under PM-JAY PVC Card scheme

According to the National Health Authority of India, Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Card is not mandatory to take advantage of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Still, this card allows patients to benefit from health services without any hindrance and prevent any fraud. It will be helpful in identification and verification. Beneficiaries will benefit from getting this card free of cost. One can get his treatment free of cost by visiting any hospital affiliated with the scheme in any part of the country.
