How to Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number?

An Aadhar card is required to get the benefits of all government schemes and apply for any competitive exam. In today’s time, every person must have an Aadhar card. After applying for an Aadhar Card, UIDAI has provided many options to download Aadhar Card including ‘Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number’. E-Aadhaar Card Download (Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number) can be done quickly through the official website of UIDAI using Aadhar Card Number.

How to Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number?

Within 90 days of applying for an Aadhar card, your Aadhar card is ready to be downloaded on the Aadhar portal. If you want to download an e-Aadhaar with the help of an Aadhar number, then follow the steps given below.

Step 1: To Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number, first go to the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) www.uidai.gov.in.

Step 2: The home page of the official website of UIDAI will open. The option of ‘My Aadhaar’ will appear in the main navigation menu on the home page.

Step 3: On moving the cursor on the option of ‘My Aadhar’, the submenu will open. The option of ‘Get Aadhar’ will appear in the various options given in the sub-menu.

Step 4: Under the ‘Get Aadhar’ option, the ‘Download Aadhar’ option will appear among many other options. Click on the link ‘Download Aadhar’ for Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number.

Step 5: You will be redirected to the new page once you click on the link to ‘Download Aadhaar’.

Step 6: On the new page of Download Aadhar Card, under Download Electronic Copy of Your Aadhar, the following three options for downloading Aadhar card (i) Aadhaar number, (ii) enrollment ID, (iii) virtual ID etc. will appear.

Step 7: Select the option of ‘Aadhaar number’ for Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number.

Step 8: Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number in the Aadhaar number field given below. e.g. (1234/1234/1234)

Step 9: After this “I want a masked Aadhaar?” check box will appear. If you want to get your Aadhar card number in masked digits, i.e. do not want to display the unique identification digit number of the Aadhar card completely, click on the check box of ‘I want a masked Aadhaar’. If you do not want to hide your Aadhaar card number, leave this box unchecked.

Step 10: Enter the given captcha code in the given field correctly. After this, the buttons ‘Send OTP’ and “TOTP” will appear. TOTP here refers to the Temporary One Time Password. A temporary password is an 8-digit unique number that is only valid for 30 seconds. Temporary One Time Passwords can be generated only by Token Generation Application and Generation Server.

Step 11: Click on the ‘Send OTP’ button to proceed with the process to Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number. On clicking the ‘Send OTP’ button, a one time password will be received on the mobile number registered with the Aadhar card. Enter the OTP received on the mobile number registered with UIDAI in the given fields.

Step 12: Click on the ‘Verify and Download’ button to verify the One Time Password and Download Aadhar Card by using Aadhaar Number. Your e-Aadhaar card will be downloaded as soon as the OTP is verified.

Step 13: Open Download e-Aadhaar Card file to take print of e-Aadhaar card. As soon as you open the file, your Aadhar card in PDF format will be displayed on the screen.

Step 14: But keep in mind that the downloaded file of the e-Aadhaar card is protected with the Aadhar card password. For this, you will have to use your Aadhar password. 

Step 15: To open the e-Aadhaar download file, type the first four letters of your name in the capital, followed by four digits of the year of your date of birth and submit. Your e-Aadhaar will appear on the screen.

Step 16: Where the printer option will appear on the right side. Select your printer by clicking on the printer icon and download your e-Aadhaar card using the Print command.
