Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) Ration Card 

The Himachal Pradesh Government issues this  ePDS Ration Card HP to its financially destitute citizens, who have no permanent source of income. This card beneficiary can get 35 kg of wheat for ₹ 2 per kg, 2KG of sugar at Rs.13.50 per kg, 7 liters of kerosene for Rs.13.67 per liter, and 2.5Kg for Rs.20 per kg, etc.

State BPL Ration Card

  • Applicants should be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant is a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh, and his family resides in Himachal Pradesh.
  • The applicant does not have a Ration Card from any other state.
  • There should be no other  ePDS Ration Card HP in the name of any family member of the applicant.
  • The application belongs to the economically backward class.
  • If the applicant has a temporary ration card, it will be valid for three months.
  • Recently married spouses from outside the state can apply for ration cards.
  • Those who go out after getting married can get their name deducted from the ration card.
  • The name of the new child can add to the ration card.
  • If the applicant has changed his place of residence, he can apply afresh.

Required Documents for Himachal Pradesh Ration Card

According to the Himachal Pradesh Government, the following documents are needed for those who are applying for a new ration card in Himachal Pradesh –

  • State Government Authorized Application Form
  • Recently a passport size photograph.
  • Age certificate (Birth certificate of application or school living)

How to apply for Himachal Pradesh Ration Card?

If you are willing to apply to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for a new ration card, then the following procedure will be adopted –

  • First of all, you will need the application form to get online/offline both ways. Offline you should go to the relevant office and collect the application form. 
  • If you want Online Ration Card Form HP, then click on Download HP New Ration Card Application Form‘ link; you will get the application form in PDF format, which can be used by taking Print out.
  • The Declaration Certificate of the Panchayat Secretary, Panchayat Assistant, Panchayat Sahayak, Food and Supplies Officer or Inspector and FCS & CA, etc., regarding the former address are required to get a Himachal Pradesh new ration card to the applicant.
  • Other supporting documents will be required as well.
  • If the applicant is an employee, he/she will have to verify the filled application form with the Chief Officer of his / her office.
  • If the applicant is a normal man, he has to get the application form verified by Municipal Commissioner, Gazetted Officer, MLA, Ward Member, or any other person authorized for this job.
  • As soon as the applicant submits the application form after verification, a receipt will be issued regarding the application form from the concerned office, which will refer to the day on which he has to come and collect the  ePDS Ration Card  office.
  • The applicant will have to present the receipt given by the concerned office when applying to receive the  ePDS Ration Card HP of the due date.
  • After submitting the applicant’s letter, the concerned office can verify the address given by the applicant.  
  • If the details given by the applicant are found to be correct, then the concerned department will issue a new ration card or modified ration card to the applicant.
  • An inquiry officer will verify other information about the applicant’s family members given in the application form.  
  • Apart from the child’s birth, the birth certificate and the original  ePDS Ration Card HP will have to be submitted to the office.  
  • In connection with marriage, a dilatation certificate issued by the past card issuing department has to be attached along with the application form and the existing ration card.
  • If the information given in the application form is found correct, then the ePDS Ration Card HP will be issued by the office.  
  • If any deficiency in verification is found, the office will reject the HP ration card application for sufficient reasons.  
  • The reasons for rejection will be given on the due date of the applicant collection.

How to check the status of  ePDS Ration Card HP or application

If you have applied for a  ePDS Ration Card HP, then follow the following steps to check Ration Card Status Online in Himachal Pradesh –

Step 1: Go to the official website of the ePDS Transparency Portal of the Himachal Pradesh Government. The home Page of the ePDS Transparency Portal will open. 

Step 2: In this state government portal, first choose the language of your choice from Hindi/English. The option of the ‘Application Status’ will show on the home page. Click on the option “Application Status” given in the sidebar of the home page.

Step 3: As soon as you click on the option of Application Status. You will be redirected to a new webpage. Here you will need to fill in the Reference Number given to you at the time of applying.

Step 4: Fill your reference number in the given column and click on the button of Submit. A Status Report related to the reference number you have provided in the system will display on the screen. You can save this information in your system.

All the smart ration cards issued by the Himachal Pradesh government are available on the official EPDS transparency portal of the state government. An applicant can use this web portal to download and print a digital copy of their e Ration Card HP online at home. 

If a user want to download ration card HP of the Himachal Pradesh government, a user should follow the steps given below-

Step 1: Go to the official website of the ePDS Transparency Portal of the Himachal Pradesh Government. The home Page of the ePDS Transparency Portal will open.

Step 2: The option of “FPS Ration Card” will appear in the Left Sidebar on the Homepage of this portal of the State Government. Click on the option of “FPS Ration Card” given in the sidebar.

Step 3: As soon as you click on the option of “FPS Ration Card,.” A Sub Menu will open in front of you. Click on the “Print Ration Card” option, which will take you to a new section of the webpage. Select “Input Type” from the list provided in this section.

Step 4: Now click on the “Select Input Type” field and choose one of the “Adhaar or Ration Card ID” as per your convenience. If you select the Ration Card ID, fill in your Ration Card ID, which is in HP-XXXXX-XXXX Format in the given column.

Step 5: If you have selected the option of Adhaar Card, then you have to fill your Aadhaar Card Number of 12 Digits in the given column and click on the Button of Search to get the result. 

Step 6: Your  ePDS Ration Card HP details will come in front of you on the screen. You can take Ration Card Print HP Out by clicking on the Print Button given at the bottom below. Now you can use it in any of your work.
